Founded in 2013, Motus Nova set out on a journey to make healthcare robotics more accessible for people. We started out by trying to help people in clinics and hospitals get access to technology that could help them achieve more hours of therapy,
which is extremely critical in the recovery process. After realizing this model still wasn’t providing people with significantly more therapy, we thought about how we can provide more access.
Developed over the past decade in conjunction with the top hospitals in the US, our patented FDA Class I rehabilitation robot is used in over 170 clinics and hospitals. Using advanced sensors, predictive technologies, and hiding the repetitive
nature of rehabilitation behind task-guided video games, we’ve delivered a superior and richer recovery experience for thousands of brain injury and stroke survivors.
Late 2017 marked the beginning of a crucial shift. We decided to put our technology in homes. At home, people can use healthcare robotics as much as they want; it is limitless. There’s no transportation burden. Use is independent. And we began
to touch the surface of tele-medicine and robotic therapy at home instead of in a clinic. Finally, in 2019 after reengineering our technology we set out to truly put Healthcare Robotics in people’s homes and create a world-class service
experience that puts the patient at the center by combining Artificial Intelligence and Personalized Care.
Building on our experience, we seek to close the gap in treatment access by placing our robot powered by advanced AI directly in the home for superior clinic-quality telemedicine. The Motus Home Hand Mentor and Foot Mentor is always available
on demand, allowing our users to take charge of their own recovery at up to five times faster and a fraction of the cost of conventional physical therapy.
